Learning about ‘off camera flash’ was an enlightning experience {pun intended}. 8 photographers from around the area and Canada as well as the instructor from Minnesota traipsed around farm and fields, brick and stone…and even an out house, to shoot some of my most beautiful past clients and their friends.

I am happy to say that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shooting this type of portraits!! It is dramatic, edgy, fun, not to mention giving a unique look that sun and reflector cannot achieve.

Without being too wordy I am going to show some images….the last 3 of the images are taken in my studio. We started shooting downtown Holly but the rain came down and the models were just dressed to the nines..so we invited them to come back to the studio to put their dresses to good use! It was great!

I did shoot this one of her inside with my ringlight….I love that piece of equipment:)

After this shot above the rain started coming down harder and we had to leave to finish shooting in my studio:) Cool raindrops huh!

Love this image….typical toddler with the babbling and walking everywhere and her shoulders scrunched and palms face up in a manner of “I DON’T KNOW??”

and lastly my two little sweeties….found these dresses at Target and screamed “hippie coolness”.

Yep…the shoemakers fable is so true in my house…anyone else feel my pain:)

But I have to say that I love the way the music fits with these and it was such a treat to have them out all the way from the Detroit area.

It has been for the last probably 4 years that my son has a tournament on Mothers Day weekend. This year was no exception but it was a local tournament so it meant for us to come home and sleep in our own beds!

This was a GREAT weekend of soccer {the weather could have cooperated a bit more but at least we only were rained on a bit and not a down-pour like last year}.

My son plays on a pretty competitive travel team called Vardar and I am pretty proud of them all….we took second place!

He is VERY good at hitting the ball and directing it with his head….

He is so good that his head hit the ball and someones head…this equals to a nose bleed.

BAD on my part that I couldn’t get the shot of the impact of the ball on his head…that shot elludes me!

This was SWEET….he had a ball thrown into him and he hit the ball behind him OVER the defender…..Oh YEAH!!

I am so glad his agility training has done him some good!

Thats all for now…this has been a full and busy weekend. Chaulked full of soccer—-LOVED IT!

We are looking for 3 month olds or younger to document the “OH SO CUTENESS”! only little youngins could give us!

Check out Murphy—yes he is 3 months old and SEE how quickly they grow but look how adorable he is!!

I have been wanting to host a trunk show for over a year and it seemed that I wasn’t on time (they have a spring show and a fall and when I say they sell out I mean OUT!!!)

So, I am johnny on the spot for this one and truely can’t be any more happier since I will be able to not only host a show but offer a special MINI SESSION for all those that purchase a Matilda Jane outfit!!!!

I was just having these lovely cards printed for my lovely girls to give as tags with their valentine treats that they are giving away next week at school.  I love these heart suckers…..and no, they haven’t ate them {YET!}.
