Linden High School Senior Rachel – {Michigan Senior Photographer}

Again I get to make it down to Milford again to shoot a lovely lady from Linden (kinda sounds like a song ….”Lovely ole lady from Liiiinnnndddennnn!!”).
This town is just amazing..lots of character on top of really COOL shops and YUMMY bakeries and restaurants. The really amazing part of Milford is that it is down the road from me and has urban and rural feel all mixed up in one little area.
Rachel went downtown to scope it out and found alot of outfits that fit her style as well as the style of Milford perfectly. I MUST say a special thank you to her mom who was amazing at helping me as well as being a great second eye on making sure Rachel looked her best!
I really love it when the seniors bring someone with them ….. not only are they a second eye as well as may help be the “reflector” holder, but they help the Senior feel at ease and we have fun!

Holly High School Senior Tomie – {Michigan Senior Photography}

It is always wonderful when I take pictures of people who I know….not really that I know Tomie until she was searching for a photographer but I know her mother. I have known her mother since elementary school. I remember like yesterday when Tomie’s mom came to school one day in 8th grade and gave us a picture of her from her own model shoot. It was a beautiful picture of her and while I was looking at Tomie through my lens the memory seemed like deja-vu.

We took Milford by storm and had a wonderful time….here is your sneak-peek Tomie:)

Here is a sneak peek for Kati – {Michigan Senior Photographer}

What a scorcher of a day when Kati and I ventured out to Davisburg. Even at 9am we were sweating! But Kati was radient and just a joy and up to anything…even walking through the amazon-like follage to see if we can sneak onto RxR tracks. Needless to say we didn’t make it onto the tracks but we found a field of beautiful Black-eyed Susan’s and went scampering in them for some VERY BRIGHT photos!! They still didn’t hold a candle to Kati’s beauty:)

Rock that OCF Workshop {Michigan Premier Photographer}

It was a weekend of wind, rain, skies made of a blanket of clouds as well as a weekend of learning.

Learning about ‘off camera flash’ was an enlightning experience {pun intended}. 8 photographers from around the area and Canada as well as the instructor from Minnesota traipsed around farm and fields, brick and stone…and even an out house, to shoot some of my most beautiful past clients and their friends.

I am happy to say that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shooting this type of portraits!! It is dramatic, edgy, fun, not to mention giving a unique look that sun and reflector cannot achieve.

Without being too wordy I am going to show some images….the last 3 of the images are taken in my studio. We started shooting downtown Holly but the rain came down and the models were just dressed to the nines..so we invited them to come back to the studio to put their dresses to good use! It was great!

I did shoot this one of her inside with my ringlight….I love that piece of equipment:)

After this shot above the rain started coming down harder and we had to leave to finish shooting in my studio:) Cool raindrops huh!

Lighting is everything!

Whether it is man-made in studio or nature-made outside we photographers manipulate it and tweek it, reflect it and curse it. Then there are times that we look at it straight on and Yield to it!!

This is a photo taken with my new lighting toy!!! Look closely at her eyes and you will see the “Ring of Light”.

WOW–all I can say is that I am so STOKED with the response that I have gotten from everyone who has applied for this upcoming 2011 Crew Member at Creative Studios. The kids are amazingly talented, bright, fun not to mention extremely beautiful (we grow them lovely here in Michigan!).

I do have 2 spots left for Holly High School, Grand Blanc and Clarkston then I will be full!!!

I have used this company Skinit for my computer skin and LOVE my computer cover. I thought…(HMMM; :hand resting on bottom of chin:) I really think this would be a great product for my most awesome and coolest senior clients. This totally isn’t EXCLUSIVE to seniors and my Portrait Clients can also get in on the action!
